EVENING SIGH from San Antonio, Texas

Chapel doorway,  Espada Mission, San Antonio, Texas, 1945

O Jesus loved of the Eternal Father, rob me of my liberty;  rob me of my will;  rob me of everything-rob me of myself-and then give yourself to me. I love you;  I seek you;  I sigh for you.  I love you. I love you.  I love you.

Mary, Mother of God, pray to Jesus for me.

Hail Mary . . .

EVENING SIGH - 4th Day

Praying the Angelus, Quebec - 1940
The Angelus
The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary:
And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;  blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.
Behold the handmaid of the Lord:
Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee;  blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.
And the Word was made Flesh:
And dwelt among us.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is

with thee;  blessed art thou among
women and blessed is the fruit of thy
womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of
God, pray for us sinners, now and at
the hour of our death.  Amen.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

EVENING SIGH - 3rd Day

Bringing the Eucharist to a dying child - Quebec, 1942

O Jesus, may I lead a good life;  may I die a happy death.  May I receive Thee before I die.  May I say when I am dying, "Jesus, Mary, Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul."

Hail Mary . . .

EVENING SIGH - 1st Day

I AM THE SERVANT OF THE LORD

EVENING SIGH

THE FIRST DAY

A well-spring of very great happiness for us, a spring rich in good things and gracesis our Mother Mary.  St. Bernard says that there is not a person in the world who does not draw some good thing from it,  "Of its fulness we have all received."  Mary Most Holy was filled with grace by God, for the angel saluted her, "Hail, full of grace."  St. Peter Chrysologus adds that it was not only for herself, but also for us that her soul was like a deep abyss filled with grace;  so that from its depths she should draw gifts for everyone who is devoted to her.  "It was to pour out salvation through all the ages that the Blessed Virgin received this store of grace."

Evening SighFountain of all our joy, pray for us.
